Cincinnati Reds reliever Alexis Díaz is proving to everyone that he no longer lives in the shadow of his brother, Edwin Díaz. He's off to an amazing start, and he's on pace for a career year with the numbers he currently has.
Whenever anyone thought of "Díaz" they always thought of his brother, Edwin Díaz. Well, thus far into the season, Alexis Díaz is really proving everyone wrong who doubted him. In 23 games, Díaz has a 1.61 ERA, 41 SO, and a 0.90 WHIP.
It will certainly be interesting to see where the Reds sit in the standings around the trade deadline. If they look to sell, Alexis Díaz is just 26 years of age. They could certainly get a good deal for him if they look to do so. Alexis Díaz is just getting better and better.
