Last season, Fernando Tatís Jr. was suspended for 80 games due to testing positive for a banned substance. Many people wondered if Fernando Tatís Jr. would ever be the same player, well he's certainly proving to everyone that he's still the same player, and even better now.
Despite Tatís missing 20 games this year, he's still putting monstrous numbers up. In 54 games played this year, Tatís is batting .286, with 15 HR's, 35 RBI's, 12 stolen bases, .916 OPS., and a 3.7 WAR.
Another thing is that Fernando Tatís Jr. was originally a shortstop. Well, this year he got moved to right field, and he's one of the best defensive right fielders in the game. That's very hard to make a switch just like that.
There's no question that Fernado Tatís Jr. is still a very good player. He's one of the best players in all of baseball, there's no argument about that. He's certainly going to be talked about getting the NL MVP award at the end of this year.
