The 2023 MLB Season is about to head into June. With that being said, here are two pitchers who are leading their respective leagues in the CY Young race.
(AL - Twins SP Sonny Gray)
The Twins pitching staff has been extremely solid in 2023. None better than Sonny Gray. Gray has bounced around the league a bit but has seemingly found a home in the Twin Cities. Gray is currently leading all of baseball with an outstanding 1.82 ERA. Alongside his impressive ERA, is his 66 SO and a .218 BAA. Gray is leading the Twins staff and shows no signs in slowing down.
(NL - Braves SP Spencer Strider)
The Braves are one of the best teams of 2023 and their pitching staff is no different. Spencer Strider has turned into one of the best pitchers in baseball and has taken the league by storm. He currently has a 2.97 ERA and leads the league with an outstanding amount of strikeouts, 97. With the Braves injuries they have suffered to their staff, Strider has embraced and settled into that ace role extremely well.
