No matter what team you’re a fan of, a little part of you likes to see the Baltimore Orioles succeed too, I don’t care what you say. I’m a Yankees fan and I still find myself rooting for this team (except when they play the Yankees of course). The O’s being competitive again and actually winning baseball games is great for baseball. This team is young, talented, and just so so much fun to watch.
On Monday they debuted a new home run celebration and it is FANTASTIC. The home run funnel. Are you kidding?! Last year I thought their home run chain was cool but now they’re taking things to the next level with the home run funnel. I saw people calling it the Dong Bong and that’s hysterical.

I am here declaring this the best home run celebration in baseball. Don’t get me wrong, there have been a bunch of great ones around MLB the past few seasons. The Red Sox home run cart, the Blue Jays home run jacket, the different chains a few teams have had, and I’m definitely forgetting a few other fun ones. But I think this new O’s celebration takes the cake.
I can’t wait to see them continue to break out this Dong Bong even more throughout the season. Get the coaches involved, hey maybe even the mascot because why not? Maybe this becomes such a hit that the Orioles do a giveaway for the first 15,000 fans. 21+ plus of course.
Nevermind having the best home run celebration, if that wasn't enough, last night the Baltimore Orioles decided that they're not done with the celebrations and pulled out a new DOUBLES celly. These guys pulled out a sprinkler celebration. Of course everyone pulls out the sprinkler arm motion every once in a while, but to get the guys in the dugout involved too is GENIUS.

At this point I don't think it's crazy to say that the Baltimore Orioles are must see TV every night based on their celebrations alone. This team is having so much damn fun with these celebrations, AND they're winning baseball games too. First the Dong Bong, and then the sprinkler celebration, what's next for the Orioles celebrations?! I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
