Free-agent pitcher Robert Stephenson in agreement with the Los Angeles Angels, pending a physical, on a three year contract with an option, per Robert Murray of FanSided. Jack Oliver of Jomboy Media first reported the agreement.

Stephenson, 30, is a 8-year veteran who has spent time with Cincinnati, Colorado, Pittsburgh, and Tampa Bay. The righty reliever had himself a great 2023 campaign, where he compiled a 2.35 ERA across 38.1 innings.

Stephenson is heading to Los Angeles where he will slot in to a bullpen that is in severe help. The Angels finished 2023 with a bullpen ERA that ranked 25th in all of baseball (4.88). His impact on the Rays 2023 season showed greatly in their bullpen that ranked 12th in baseball.

Stephenson seemingly found himself last season and has a lot of positives to build on. The 30-year old is set to sign his three-year deal with Los Angeles and has found a home for the start of the backend of his career.
