LOS ANGELES, CA: Mike Trout has a torn meniscus in his left knee and will undergo surgery. There is currently no timeframe but the Angels expect him back this season, per Jeff Fletcher Angels beat writer.

Mike Trout’s impact on the game of baseball is unprecedented. However, his health concerns have been raised time and time again. Injury has been a constant and expected year after year for Trout. Trout has missed an astonishing 249 games the last three years.

Trout’s 2024 has seen him slash .220/.325/.541 with 10 home runs. 2024 has thus far been a positive year for Trout, as he was on a tear to begin the year and has been hitting the ball with authority. Probably the most important factor to his season, he was staying healthy.

Trout met with the media after the news broke and was emotional but yet, composed and well spoken. The 32-year old NJ native is a first-ballot Hall of Famer. His resume is off the charts and includes 3x MVP, Rookie of the Year, 9x Silver Slugger, 11x All-Star, and 2x AS MVP. His accolades have earned him a 86.3 career WAR.
