The Los Angeles Angles placed two-way superstar, Shohei Ohtani, on the 10-day IL, which will officially sideline him for the rest of the season. First Shohei Ohtani tore his UCL, he was then hoping to hit, but he then was just placed on the IL for an oblique injury.
Shohei Ohtani's 2023 was certainly one to remember. Shohei Ohtani finished slashing .304/.412/.654, 44 HR's, 95 RBI's, and a 1.066 OPS. On the mound, Ohtani made 23 starts, he pitched to a 10-5 record, 3.14 ERA, 167 SO, and a 1.06 WHIP.
It's almost certain that this is Shohei Ohtani's last season with the Los Angeles Angeles. He's set to become a free agent at the end of the year. Shohei Ohtani had a remarkable contract year, and he's certainly going to get a big payday this off-season.
