Los Angeles Angels superstar outfielder Mike Trout provided the first update on his injury. Earlier this season, Mike Trout had surgery to repair a torn meniscus. It occurred on May 3rd. The past few seasons Mike Trout has had a lot of injuries, he was off to a great start in 2024. Although, injuries are apart of sports.
Before the Angels game against the Cleveland Guardians, Mike Trout spoke to reporters for the first time since his original injury news. He gave an optimistic update.
Mike Trout did not give an exact timetable for a return. Although, he noted he is “feeling good” as he regains his strength in his leg. He has been resuming weight room activities. Trout added that he is “pretty close” to beginning to run again.
The star veteran outfielder Mike Trout was off to yet another good start to begin the season before getting injured. Trout was slashing .220/.325/.541, with 10 home runs, 14 RBI’s, 6 SB’s, and an .866 OPS. Those stats came in just a total of 29 games played for Mike Trout.
There’s no question that Mike Trout is the leader of the Los Angeles Angels. Without him, the Angels are a much different team. In 2024, Trout was leading the Angels to a pretty solid start. Ever since he went down, the Angels have been much different, and not in a good way.
Through a total of 55 games, the Angels have a record of 20-33. They are in last place in a very week American League West division. The Angels sit at 7.5 games out of first place.
