The baseball world's sad reality is that generational superstar, Mike Trout, is becoming more and more injury prone. Not only does his team not put him in a position to succeed, but he himself can barely stay on the field. Yesterday, the Angels transferred Mike Trout to the 60-day IL, ending his 2023 season.
Mike Trout played just 82 games this season and slashed .263/.367/.490 with 18 home runs and 44 RBI. The Angels have been an absolute disaster this season and not having Trout on the field is just as disastrous.
There have been rumblings that the superstar might be on his way out. The Angels would likely ask for a haul in return. The question is, what team would take a chance on an aging center fielder who has trouble staying on the field.
