Los Angeles Angels third baseman Luis Rengifo underwent wrist surgery. It is unfortunately a season-ending surgery. Around five days ago, Rengifo was removed from his game due to getting injured after a swing. He underwent further tests and found out the bad news.
Luis Rengifo is in the middle of his best season in his entire career. Rengifo has been in the MLB for six seasons. He has spent all of his years in the big leagues with the Angels.
The worst thing about sports is obviously injuries. Especially the more serious ones. This injury to Luis Rengifo is really serious. He will be out for the year. Now, his rehab to make a comeback begins today.
Luis Rengifo has been one of the best all around players for the Angels. They haven’t had a great year as a team, but Rengifo has been a bright spot. In a total of 78 games, Rengifo slashed .300/.347/.417, with 6 HR, 30 RBI, 24 SB, and a .764 OPS.
The 2024 season has been a good one for Luis Rengifo. Obviously the news of the injury is very bad, but he will have to look at the positives. Rengifo will be able to build off of this season and can look forward to 2025.
