Late last night, the Arizona Diamondbacks and starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez agreed to a four-year contract, worth around $20 million per season. With this move, the 2023 National League Champions, Arizona Diamondbacks are adding a big piece to their rotation.

Eduardo Rodriguez had a very nice season with the Detroit Tigers in 2023. Rodriguez certainly earned this contract. In 26 starts, Eduardo Rodriguez pitched 152.2 IP, posted a 13-9 record, 3.30 ERA, 143 SO, and a 1.15 WHIP.

With the addition of Eduardo Rodriguez, the Diamondbacks rotation is looking like one of the best in all of baseball. It now consists of Zac Gallen, Eduardo Rodriguez, Merrill Kelly, Brandon Pfaadt, and Tommy Henry. The Diamondbacks have a lot of pitchers who they can rely on.

The Arizaona Diamondbacks are hungry to make it back to where they did last year. That's the World Series, and this time they want to finish the job. This move to bring in Eduardo Rodriguez is a step in the right direction. The Diamondbacks won't be done after just one move, they're going to keep adding to their team.
