MESA, AZ: The Oakland Athletics have a young star second baseman. His name is Zack Gelof, he's just 24-years-old. Everyone should get to know who Zack Gelof is. He's tearing it up about halfway through Spring Training. It's a good sight to see someone on the Athletics performing well.

Zack Gelof made his MLB debut in 2022. He didn't play much in his debut year, playing just 5 games. In 2023, Gelof played a few more games, as he played 11 games in the MLB in 2023. In 2024, Zack Gelof will likely be the opening day second baseman for the Athletics and get much more playing time.

It's getting to the point in Spring Training where it's really no small sample size when you look at players stats. This year in Spring Training, Gelof is putting on a show. In 34 at-bats, Gelof is slashing .412/.459/.853, with 4 HR's, 8 RBI's, and a 1.312 OPS.

The Athletics will look forward to playing most of their young players in 2024. One of those young players is certainly going to be Zack Gelof. Gelof is already fun to watch in Spring Training. It's going to be even more fun to watch Zack Gelof in the regular season.
