The Baltimore Orioles are promoting outfielder Heston Kjerstad to the MLB. Kjerstad is the Orioles No. 4 prospect. He is MLB’s No. 29 prospect. Heston Kjerstad made his major league debut in 2023, but only had a few at bats. This season, it seems as Kjerstad will get many more chances to prove himself at the highest level in baseball.

Heston Kjerstad was drafted by the Orioles in the 2020 MLB draft. They selected him with the second overall pick. Kjerstad is 25-years-old. The Orioles continue to add to their super young team in the MLB. The latest one is now Heston Kjerstad, and just a few weeks ago they called up their top prospect Jackson Holliday to the MLB.

The Orioles were a little worried about Heston Kjerstad after his performance in the MLB last year. So, the Orioles decided to start Kjerstad in Triple-A this year, and it has paid off. In a total of 21 games this year in Triple-A, Kjerstad is slashing .349/.431/.744, with 10 HR’s, 30 RBI’s, 4 doubles, 25 runs, and a 1.175 WHIP. Those are some pretty incredible stats.

Heston Kjerstad will now get a fresh start in the MLB with a lot of players he came up through the minors with. The Orioles are off to another good start in 2024. As they continue to call up their young players, it’s only going to get better for them. Heston Kjerstad is the latest call-up, and he’s going to be exciting to watch.
