Blue Jays in Agreement With Former Yankee on Two-Year Deal

The Toronto Blue Jays and UTIL player Isiah Kiner-Falefa, have agreed to a two-year, $15 million contract, pending physical, per Robert Murray of FanSided. Kiner-Falefa resided in New York (AL) the past two seasons after being traded to New York from Minnesota.

Kiner-Falefa was an extremely versatile asset to the Yankees, playing all outfield and most infield positions and even pitched a few innings for the club. Kiner-Falefa slashed .242/.306/.340 with 6 home runs last season. His versatility was evident in his value to the club.

The Blue Jays seemingly are replacing UTIL Whit Merrifield with the signing of Isiah Kiner-Falefa, although not out of the running. The Blue Jays have missed out on a few free agents and after the signing of Kiner-Falefa, are expected to be contenders for a slew of remaining free agents.
