The Toronto Blue Jays have placed starting pitcher Alek Manoah on the 15-day injured list due to a right elbow strain. Until Manoah comes back, his spot will be filled by Ryan Burr. The Blue Jays completed a trade with the Philadelphia Phillies to acquire the right-hander.

There’s no question that Alek Manoah has had a lot of up and downs in his career the past few years. It doesn’t take away the type of potential that he has. As of late, Alek Manoah was turning it around. He has had the worst luck.

Alek Manoah was performing so bad last year that he got sent down all the way to rookie ball by the Blue Jays. Manoah has had to work his way back. Now, he finally did and he gets injured. He could also be out for a decent amount of time, no one knows the exact timetable.

Alek Manoah’s 2024 stats:

5 starts | 24.1 IP | 1-2 record | 3.70 ERA | 26 strikeouts | 1.03 WHIP

In today’s Major League Baseball, pitching is so important. In every team there’s always something going on with how long of a season is. Alek Manoah has been a big piece of the Blue Jays. It will be a little while until Alek Manoah can be on the mound for the Blue Jays again.
