NORTH PORT, FL: The Atlanta Braves announced they signed outfielder Adam Duvall to a one-year, $3 million deal. The same outfielder who accomplished the World Series championship with the Braves in 2021.

Duvall, 35, will now platoon the left field position with recent acquisition, Jarred Kelenic. After spending two spells with the Braves from 2018 to 22, Duvall rose to prominence in the clubhouse. A few months later, the Braves won the World Series thanks in part to his return to Atlanta during the 2021 Trade Deadline.

Thus, with two weeks to go until Opening Day and Duvall being available as a free agent, the Braves got back together with an old acquaintance. For Kelenic, who has gone just 3-for-44 this spring with four walks, nine strikeouts, and no extra-base hits, this reunion also provides some insurance.

Duvall spent his 2023 season with the Boston Red Sox. He slashed .247/.303/.531 and provided a positive amount of power with 21 home runs. Duvall and the Braves reunion is a positive one. The two sides accomplished the greatest feat in the sport together. They will now look to do the same in 2024.
