Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies was removed from yesterday game with a wrist injury. After the game, the Braves gave an update and it wasn’t a good one. Here is their official update from the Atlanta Braves X account.

“Ozzie Albies underwent X-rays that revealed a left wrist fracture. He is expected to miss approximately eight weeks.”

The injury occurred in a Braves game against the Cardinals. It happened when a player from the Cardinals was sliding into second base and unfortunately Albies got hit in the wrist which caused him to have a fractured wrist in the end.

The Braves have been so unlucky when it comes to injuries this season. Here are five notable Braves players who are currently injured.

  1. RF Ronald Acuña Jr.

  2. RHP Spencer Strider

  3. 2B Ozzie Albies

  4. LHP Max Fried

  5. CF Michael Harris ||

Ozzie Albies was one of the finalist for the starting job for the second base position for the NL All-Star team. In 90 games, Albies had a slash line of .258/.310/.407, with 8 HR, 46 RBI, and a .717 OPS.

The Braves will have to find a way to win even though they have a handful of players on the shelf. Injuries are the worst thing in sports, especially when you have a notable amount of them like the Braves currently do.
