The Milwaukee Brewers manager, Craig Counsell announced that SP Brandon Woodruff will not play in the wild card series against the Diamondbacks. Craig Counsell also said that his availability for the postseason is up in the air. Brandon Woodruff is dealing with a right shoulder capsular injury.

Brandon Woodruff has always been a big piece to the Brewers. Brandon Woodruff is apart of the Brewers "big three" in the Brewers starting rotation along with Corbin Burnes and Freddy Peralta.

Brandon Woodruff hasn't played much all season. Although, it's still a big hit to the Brewers team. Woodruff made 8 starts in the regular season, he posted a 3.18 ERA, 40 SO, and a 0.85 WHIP.

In a short wild card series that the Brewers will play against the Diamondbacks, you always want all your key players playing. This came at the worst time for the Brewers. The hope is for the Brewers that if they move onto the NLDS, Brandon Woodruff will be back.
