In game one of the Phillies doubleheader against the White Sox yesterday, Phillies infielder Bryson Stott broke a franchise record by hitting safely in the team's first 17 games of the season.
Stott has been off to a scorching start to begin the 2023 season. He's currently slashing .363/.370/.475 with 1 home run and 6 RBIs. The power is still coming around for the youngster but the contact play is off the charts. Adding in 7 XBH as well. His defense lines up with his hitting which is a huge plus for the Phillies infield.
The Phillies went on to win the first game of the doubleheader by a score of 7-4. Unfortunately for Stott, his hit streak ended in game two in which the Phillies lost by a score of 3-0. Although Stott's hit streak ended, he shows no signs of letting his foot off the gas.
The Phillies have gotten off to an underwhelming start to 2023, with Stott being one of the positives about the Phillies. His hitting performances have kept the Phillies in tight games and is in no way the blame for their underperformance.
The baseball team residing in the City of Brotherly Love has a big reinforcement on his way back to compliment what Bryson Stott is doing. Bryce Harper can't come back soon enough for this ball club. With the Phillies sitting in 4th place with a record of 7-11, 6.5 games back, they seem to be needing all the help they can get.
Bryson Stott has been incredible for this club and is making a push to become a star in this league. In a star studded lineup like this one, it's easy to be overshadowed. Stott isn't going to allow that to happen.
