Cardinals Promote No. 1 Prospect To The MLB

The Cardinals promoted top prospect, Masyn Winn to the MLB. The corresponding move was the Cardinals placed OF Lars Nootbar on the 10-day IL. Losing Lars Nootbar isn't good, but Cardinals fans should be excited about Masyn Winn.

Masyn Winn had a great season in Triple-A. You can see exactly why the Cardinals gave Winn the call based on his stats. In 105 games, Winn has slashed .288/.359/.474, to go along with that he's hit 18 HR's, 61 RBI's, 17 SB, and a .833 OPS.

With the Cardinals season pretty much over, they'll look to their young stars. Masyn Winn is just 21-years-old. Winn will be a big part of the Cardinals future from here till the end of his career.
