Chris Sale Heading to IL Once Again

Longtime Red Sox pitcher, Chris Sale, is once again heading to the IL. Sale left Thursday's game early after he was dealing with left shoulder soreness. Yesterday, the Red Sox announced that he has been transferred to the 60-day IL.

With Sale out until at least early August, this is yet another case of what could be. When on the field, Sale has the potential of being one of the game's best. The 34-year old has dealt with injuries for most of his Boston career.

His 2023 has not been what he had hoped, but he was at least on the field, which was a plus to many. In 59.0 innings, Sale has pitched to a 4.58 ERA, along with 71 SO, and a 1.19 WHIP. Chris Sale will forever be one of those pitchers who everyone wished would just stay healthy.
