The Diamondbacks are a young and coming team. The years of agony the Diamondbacks fans have gone through is seemingly paying off. The rebuild is being led by standout rookie Corbin Carroll, who is forming himself to be MLB's next star.
Yesterday, Carroll became the first rookie in MLB history to record 25 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a season. To go along with his bit of history, Carroll is having an outstanding season for his young club and is making a strong case for NL Rookie of the Year. Carroll is slashing .281/.360/.503 with 25 home runs and 72 RBI.
The young stud in Arizona is leading his team and might just have them set up for a playoff spot. The Diamondbacks currently hold the second wildcard spot, up a game on the Cubs. No matter if the postseason will be in play or not this season, Corbin Carroll and the Diamondbacks are here for years to come.
