The 2023 Diamondbacks team is filled with a bunch of talents that have proved they belong where they find themselves now, just three wins away from a World Series championship. One of those talents came in at the trade deadline, OF/DH Tommy Pham. Pham did not have much expectations this season that started with the New York Mets. Now he found himself on the cusp of a title.

In game two, Tommy Pham went 4-4 with two doubles and two runs scored. He was a huge contributor in the Diamondbacks 9-1 victory over the Rangers to tie up the series. Pham had himself a shot at history. The type of history that would have solidified himself as the first player in World Series history to go 5-5 in a World Series game. However, his selfless act reminded us all why the game of baseball is the best game there is.

Pham gave up his last at-bat to give teammate Jace Peterson an opportunity to contribute after his team held such a big lead. He made sure to set the record straight, which backed up his manager, Torey Lovullo.

Tommy Pham's postseason performance has been impressive to say the least. Slashing .275/.288/.490 with 3 home runs, Pham has been an outstanding pickup for this young D-Backs club. Later tonight, Pham will have a shot to move more heads in game 3 of the World Series.
