Per Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic, the Arizona Diamondbacks and veteran outfielder, Joc Pederson, were "very close" to an agreement.
Per Steve Gilbert of MLB.com, the Diamondbacks and Joc Pederson are now in agreement on a one-year deal with a mutual option for 2025. The details of the deal are not yet publicly disclosed.
Pederson, 32 in April, has spent the last ten seasons in the Major Leagues. Spending time with Los Angeles (NL), San Francisco, Chicago (NL), and Atlanta.
Pederson spent the last two seasons in San Francisco after coming off an extraordinary stint with Atlanta in their championship run. Pederson slashed .235/.348/.416 with 15 home runs.
Despite having a down 2023, his 2024 is projected to be a whole lot better. Adding a ton of lefty power to a young Diamondbacks squad. Pederson gets a shot with another club to be a veteran presence for a fun young club.
