The Arizona Diamondbacks took game four of the NLCS against the Philadelphia Phillies by a final score of 6-5. It was a back and forth game the whole game, but the Diamondbacks pulled away with the win.
It was a bullpen game for both teams. The Diamondbacks used 8 arms out of the bullpen. The Phillies also used 8 arms out of their bullpen. Ultimately, the Diamondbacks bullpen was just better, and their manager, Torey Lovullo made better decisions at the right time.
The Diamondbacks scored 6 runs on 9 hits. They got runs from 4 different guys. Gabriel Moreno drove in 2 runs, Christian Walker had an RBI, Emmanuel Rivera drove in a run, and Alek Thomas had 2 RBI's coming from a two-run HR. The Phillies scored 5 runs on 8 hits, but obviously that wasn't enough.
There will be one more game in Arizona before heading back to Philly. Game 5 will be tonight. The first pitch will be at 8:07 PM ET. The Phillies and Diamondbacks will each have their aces on the mound. Zack Wheeler will start for the Phillies and Zac Gallen will start for the Diamondbacks.
