Dodgers Bring Back Veteran UTIL Man After Trade

Yesterday, the Los Angeles Dodgers made multiple moves. First, they traded OF Manuel Margot and SS prospect Rayne Doncon to the Minnesota Twins. The Dodgers received SS prospect Noah Miller. The other move the Dodgers made is bringing back superutilityman Kiké Hernandez on a one-year deal.

The trade with the Dodgers and the Twins made sense for both sides. The Twins are getting a proven OF in Manuel Margot and a young SS in Rayne Doncon. The Dodgers are also getting a young SS in return in Noah Miller.

Manuel Margot had a good 2023 season, and he will look to build off that in 2024 with the Twins. In 2023, Margot appeared in 99 games, he slashed .264/.310/.376, with 4 HR's, 38 RBI's, and a .686 OPS.

The other player the Twins are getting is Rayne Doncon. He's just 20-years-old. In 2023, Doncon played in Single-A. He appeared in 107 games, Doncon slashed .215/.283/.368, with 14 HR's, 52 RBI's, and a .651 OPS.

For the Dodgers, they will be getting SS prospect Noah Miller. Miller is 21-years-old. In 2023, Noah Miller made it to High-A for the Twins. In 120 games, Miller slashed .223/.309/.340, with 8 HR's, 60 RBI's, and a .649 OPS.

Minutes after the trade between the Dodgers and Twins happened, the Dodgers brought back superutilityman, Kiké Hernandez. It's a one-year deal, worth $4 million. Kiké Hernandez played for the Red Sox in the first half of the 2023 season, and the Dodgers in the second half of the 2023 season. Now, Hernandez will spend the 2024 season with the Dodgers again.
