The Dodgers are coming off their suprising exit in the 2023 season. One of the pivotal factors of that series was longtime legend, Clayton Kershaw. Pitching just 0.1 innings, Kershaw was an early exit in which he gave up 6 earned runs. It was announced today that he underwent surgery on his left shoulder and is hopeful to return to pitching sometime next summer, per Major League Baseball.
Kershaw is undoubtedly one of the best pitchers of this generation. A pitcher who the Dodgers have consistently relied on year after year and for good reason. His 2023 ended as he pitched to a 13-5 record with a 2.46 ERA.
His 2023 ended as his 13th season out of his 16 years of service with an ERA under 3.00. Outstanding numbers for a surefire hall of famer. As his offseason begins, Kershaw is an unrestricted free agent. He will now gear up for a return come next summer.
