Before yesterday’s Dodgers game, the club announced that they have placed RHP Tyler Glasnow on the 15-day injured list with lower back tightness. In addition to that, the Dodgers recalled RHP Tyler Peterson from Triple-A to replace Glasnow on the roster.
Just a few days ago, Tyler Glasnow was selected to the National League All-Star game. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to participate in the game. To replace him on the All-Star team, Reds starter Hunter Greene has taken his spot.
Tyler Glasnow has been having an incredible season in his first year as a Dodger. It was a great thing to watch Glasnow take the ball every fifth day. He was putting up numbers that could’ve won himself a NL Cy-Young award.
In 18 starts, Glasnow pitched 109 innings. He posted an 8-5 record, 3.47 ERA, 143 SO, and a 0.93 WHIP.
The Dodgers will now be without Tyler Glasnow or Yoshinobu Yamamoto for a few more weeks. They will have to figure out a way to replace both of them until each of them comeback. The worst thing about baseball is injuries, especially when a team has multiple of them.
