The Los Angeles Dodgers announced today, that starting pitcher, Tony Gonsolin will undergo Tommy-John surgery on September 1st. This is terrible news for the Dodgers and Tony Gonsolin.
In 2023, Tony Gonsolin has started 20 games, he's pitched to an 8-5 record, 103.0 IP, 4.98 ERA, 82 SO, and a 1.22 WHIP.
Whenever you hear of someone needing Tommy-John surgery, it's truly a shame. This is one of the most serious surgery's for a pitcher. Hopefully Tony Gonsolin can make a full recovery and comeback strong.
