Former Longtime Oriole Joins Miami on Minor League Deal

The Miami Marlins and OF/1B Trey Mancini have agreed to a minor league deal with an invite to MLB spring training. Mancini spent most of his career in Baltimore with stints in Houston and Chicago (NL).

Mancini has not been able to find a stable home since his departure from Baltimore in 2022. In 2023, Mancini slashed .234/.299/.336 with 4 home runs.

Mancini has seemingly took a step down in his game since his battle with cancer, but has not given up by any means. Mancini is a proven leader and has such a resilient attitude. The kind of guy a team would want in a young clubhouse, like Miami.

This deal is a win-win for both parties. Mancini gets another shot at a big league roster and the Marlins get a proven leader who has a ton of upside. Mancini is a player everyone roots for and wants the best for, this case is no different.
