It's no secret that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. doesn't like the Yankees. He has reiterated countless times that he'll never play for the Yankees and he embraces the fact, he is not a liked figure in New York.

The Blue Jays traveled to the Bronx this past road trip for a three game series against the Yankees. He is known as a "Yankee killer" around baseball as he always plays well against them. This past series was no different.

Vlad owns the highest slugging percentage in the history of Yankee Stadium (.614) among hitters who have had at least 100 at-bats. In just 34 games in the Bronx, he has hit 12 home runs and driven in 21 runs.

Guerrero Jr. loves the boos raining in and it wears off on his teammates as well. The Blue Jays won the series against the Yankees two games to one as the pitching staff seemed to turn the tide from their narrative. The bats came around and as mentioned, what a breath of fresh air it was for Jays fans to see their pitching staff seem to turn it around.

Alek Manoah, another disliked player in New York, struggled to start the 2023 season. He ended up pitching 7.0 innings along with 5 SO, only giving up 2 hits with no earned runs. Kevin Gausman and Yusei Kikuchi pitched fantastic as well.

It's always a show when the Blue Jays and Yankees face off, even more so in the Bronx. Guerrero Jr. is a superstar in this league and proves it every time he comes to New York.
