The Cleveland Guardians announced they hired former MLB catcher, Stephen Vogt as their next manager. Vogt will take over for the future Hall of Famer, Terry Francona. Stephen Vogt has never managed baseball before, although Vogt is primed to be a good manager.

Stephen Vogt spent 16 seasons in the MLB. He made his MLB debut in 2012, and retired in 2022. Vogt played a total of 794 career games in the MLB, he slashed .239/.301/.406, with 82 HR's, 313 RBI's, 560 hits, and a .707 OPS.

Stephen Vogt has been around baseball a long time. That could really benefit Vogt and the Guardians. The Guardians will have a young group, and some veterans around Steven Vogt. It's going to be pretty exciting to see Vogt managing in the MLB.
