Jose Bautista is officially back where he belongs. Forever in Toronto. The Blue Jays signed Bautista to a one-day contract to retire as a Blue Jay. The Rogers Centre was sold out for Bautista’s emotional farewell experience.
Bautista played for a total of eight MLB teams that compiled for a 15-year career. However, of those 15 years, he played 10 with the Toronto Blue Jays. During those 10 years, Bautista slashed .253/.372/.506 with 288 home runs and 766 RBI.
Taking a trip down memory lane, Bautista will always be known for his 3-run home run in the 2015 ALDS vs the Texas Rangers. An instant classic that everyone has and will always remember as one of the best moments in recent postseason history.
