Yesterday, the Red Sox and Dodgers made another trade in their long line of trades. This time, former Dodger, Kiké Hernández was traded back to Los Angeles in exchange for right-handed reliever Nick Robertson and right-handed reliever Justin Hagenman.

It was noted that the Red Sox would be targeting pitching help both in their rotation and bullpen. Completely this trade has kick-started that.

The Dodgers are getting a super utility player that they are familiar with. With the Dodgers, another bat in their lineup will only help them more and it comes as an upside with Hernández having the ability to be plugged in anywhere on defense. His postseason success has to bring a good memory to the Dodger front office as well.

Kiké Hernández has not had a great year as he is slashing .222/.279/.320 with 6 home runs and 31 RBI. In his six seasons in Los Angeles, Hernández compiled 68 home runs and 213 RBI, all while slashing .240/.312/.425. The versatility that Hernández brings is a big plus in itself.

Both these squads seemingly evened themselves out as it strengthens both teams respectively.
