Left-Handed Starting Pitcher is Headed Back to The KBO

The Hanwha Eagles and left-handed pitcher, Hyun Jin Ryu have agreed to a contract. According to Yoo in the KBO league. Yoo, who first reported the deal, stated that the contract is unknown. Although, it was reported that Ryu is now the highest paid player in the KBO league.


Hyun Jin Ryu played his first seven seasons of his baseball career in the KBO league. That proves Ryu is no stranger to the KBO. Hyun Jin Ryu has a lot of experience when it comes to playing baseball.


Turning it over to the MLB side, Hyun Jin Ryu has played ten seasons in the MLB. He pitched for just two teams at the MLB level. The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Hanwha Eagles are adding a proven/really good arm to their starting rotation. It's unknown as of right now weather or not Hyun Jin Ryu will ever come back to the MLB, but as of now, he will pitch in the KBO.
