Just a little over a week ago, the Marlins placed SP, Sandy Alcantara on the IL. Yesterday, Sandy Alcantara officially has a sprained UCL. Sandy Alcantara was placed on the IL with a Forearm Flexor Strain, but he now has a sprained UCL.

Everyone knows how bad the start of Sandy Alcantara's season was. Although, he certainly turned it around after his rough start. For the season, in 28 starts, Alcantara has posted a 4.14 ERA, 151 SO, and a 1.21 WHIP.

It's uncertain if Sandy Alcantara will be able to pitch again this season. The Marlins haven't ruled anything out. Manager, Skip Schumacker said, "It's a progression. We're going to watch it every day and go from there." Hopefully Sandy Alcantara will be able to make a speedy recovery and pitch again this season.
