The New York Mets are showing interest in two free-agent Astros relief pitchers. First, according to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, the Mets have interest in Ryne Stanek. The other reliever that the Mets are showing interest in is Héctor Neris, according to Andy Martino of SNY.

The Mets have already made a few additions this off-season. Such as adding RHP Luis Severino, RHP Michael Tonkin, RHP Jorge López, LHP Sean Manaea, OF Harrison Bader, and INF Joey Wendle. Andy Martino noted that the Mets are willing to spend about another $10 million or so this off-season, with perhaps adding more at the trade deadline if they're contending.

Ryne Stanek 2023 stats:

55 appearances, 3-1 record, 50.2 IP, 4.09 ERA, 42 hits allowed, 8 home runs allowed, 21 walks, 51 strikeouts, 4.60 FIP, and a 1.243 WHIP.

Héctor Neris 2023 stats:

71 appearances, 6-3 record, 68.1 IP, 1.71 ERA, 41 hits allowed, 7 home runs allowed, 31 walks, 77 strikeouts, 3.83 FIP, and a 1.054 WHIP.

Both Ryne Stanek and Héctor Neris would be amazing additions to the New York Mets bullpen. Stanek and Neris have both proved themselves in their career to be reliable pieces in a bullpen, they both had pretty good years last year. It's going to be intresting to see if the Mets can land either Ryne Stanek or Héctor Neris.
