Washington Nationals right-handed pitcher Josiah Gray has a partially torn UCL. It will end his season. He will have the surgery next week. Washington Nationals writer Bobby Blanco first reported the news of Gray.

Just last year Josiah Gray was an All-Star. He was selected to the National League All-Star team in 2023. Gray really showed his full potential last year, unfortunately he will now be out for a while.

In his All-Star season, Josiah Gray was without a question the Nationals best pitcher. He was a workhorse. In 30 starts and 159 IP, Josiah Gray posted a 3.91 ERA. He had 143 SO last season.

This season has been a whole different story for Josiah Geay. He has made just 2 starts due to all of his injuries. In those 2 starts Gray had a 14.04 ERA. That just shows that he was definitely injured.

The next step for Josiah Gray will now be surgery. After that, he will start his recovery process. The Nationals will be without their ace for a long while. The Nationals will need to have the next man up mentally.
