Nationals Sign Veteran OF to Split Deal

The Washington Nationals are in agreement with OF Eddie Rosario. It is a split contract in which he could earn up to $4 million with incentives. The veteran outfielder will now add a fourth team to his resume.

Rosario has spent the last two and a half years in Atlanta where he became a regular face. Rosario won the 2021 World Series with the Braves and will forever be remembered in Atlanta for his incredible 2021 NLCS performance against the Dodgers.

Rosario's 2021 NLCS stats:

AVG: .560

HR: 3

RBI: 9

OPS: 1.647

Hits: 14 (MLB record)

Total Bases: 26

Rosario is joining a young club in Washington and could easily make some noise in the nation's capital. Rosario has slashed .244/.294/.427 with 33 home runs during his run in Atlanta and could bring that same amount of production to Washington.

Rosario is on a split deal which is loaded with incentives. It's the obvious win win situation for Rosario who has a real chance of being with the big league club. Rosario adds that veteran presence to a club that is filled with youngsters.
