The Mets season has not panned out the way the had hoped or expected. They have seen many negatives, but a positive they can look on is Tommy Pham and the production he has provided to the club.
Pham was signed to a 1-year, $6 million deal back in late January. He was expected to be a bench piece or an replacement outfielder. In the time he has seen on the field, he has produced for the Mets.
In 137 AB, Pham is slashing .255/.327/.496 with 7 home runs and 27 RBI. Although his numbers are not eye popping, the limited playing time and his work when given that said playing time, has been quite the gift for the ball club.
What's been really impressive about Pham this season is his advanced stats, specifically his baseball savant page.

Just to make it a bit sweeter, Pham's June is staggering. He's batting .324 with an outstanding 1.036 OPS. Although the Mets season has not gone to plan, Pham is a bright spot and a seasoned vet that the team has to be impressed with.
