The regular season for all MLB teams will begin in just six days. Teams are starting to build their roster for the upcoming season. There's a ton of players fighting for a roster spot on their team. The Orioles made a decision to not have Jackson Holliday on the Opening Day roster after a great spring training.

Jackson Holliday was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 MLB draft by the Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles are one of the best teams when it comes to drafting players. They have a ton of young talent, and Jackson Holliday is most definitely the best of the Orioles young prospects.

It's really deep into spring training at this point. There's no more real small sample sizes for players who have been playing most of the spring training. For Holliday, in 44 at-bats, he has a .318 batting average, 2 HR's, 6 RBI's, 2 SB's, and a .976 OPS.

Now that everyone knows that Jackson Holliday will begin the season in Triple-A, he can focus on making his MLB debut soon after the season starts. It's going to be interesting to see when the Orioles decide to call Jackson Holliday up after the regular season begins.
