The Baltimore Orioles are adding to their bullpen. They signed veteran reliever Craig Kimbrel to a one-year deal worth $13 million. The contract also includes a club option for 2025. With Félix Bautista set to miss the entire season in 2024, the Orioles needed to address the bullpen and they started it by adding Craig Kimbrel.

Craig Kimbrel was an all-star with the Philadelphia Phillies last year. He had a good first half, but was worse in the second half and into the playoffs. In 71 games and 69.0 IP, Kimbrel posted a 8-6 record, 3.26 ERA, 94 SO, and a 1.04 WHIP.

Craig Kimbrel will likely be a late inning reliever and possibly a closer for the Orioles. Craig Kimbrel is a proven reliever who can be a solid piece out of the bullpen for Orioles manager Brandon Hyde to use. The Orioles are just getting started this off-season.
