BOSTON, MA: The Baltimore Orioles are calling up infielder Jackson Holliday, the No. 1 prospect in baseball, per Jeff Passan of ESPN. Jackson Holliday, the son of former MLB World Series winning outfielder Matt Holliday, is just 20 years old, looking to make an impact on the already star studded O’s roster.

Holliday started his 2024 season in AAA Norfolk and has showed that he’s ready for this promotion. Holliday in 10 Triple-A games this season before being called up has gone 14-for-42 (.333) with 2 HR, 5 2B, 12 BB, 18 R while posting a 1.077 OPS.

The Orioles are without a doubt the most excited young club in the Majors. With their young core already intact, adding Holliday to the mix will only strengthen their club as well as give O’s fans something to dream over.

Holliday will travel to Boston to meet the Orioles big league club, as they’re in the middle of a three-game set against the Red Sox. It is no question that O’s fans should be excited about the No. 1 overall prospect, but all baseball fans should be as well.
