Padres Ace Continues his Strong Start to the 2024 Season

This past off-season the San Diego Padres made a huge splash by trading for star pitcher Dylan Cease from the White Sox. Many people were questioning this move due to the fact that before the Padres made this move, they traded star player Juan Soto to the Yankees. Now, the move to bring in Dylan Cease is certainly paying off.

There are definitely a number of choices for the Padres ace. You have Dylan Cease, Joe Musgrove, and Yu Darvish. The majority of people would likely say that Dylan Cease is the Padres ace, rightfully so. He's solidfing himself as the top pitcher for the Padres.

Dylan Cease just picked up his first win last night in a Padres uniform, and it was at home in San Diego against the Cubs. Cease is impressing a lot of people so far this season. In 3 starts and 16.2 IP, Cease has a 1-1 record, 2.16 ERA, 20 strikeouts, and a 0.84 WHIP.

The Padres are coming off of a really disappointing 2023 season. To start this season, the Padres are right around .500, their record is 7-8. Dylan Cease has the potential to continue this strong start all season long. Cease is a very good pitcher, and he's showing it early in the 2024 season.
