San Diego Padres superstar outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. has been reinstated from the 60-day injured list. Per, Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune. The Padres are getting back one of their best players just in time to make a push for the playoffs.

Fernando Tatis Jr. has been on the injured list ever since June 24th. The Padres placed him on the IL due to right femoral stress reaction. He was selected to the All-Star team but unfortunately this injury made him miss it after having a great first half.

This is Fernando Tatis Jr’s second season as an outfielder. He’s been amazing, and it hasn’t effected him on the offensive side either. This year in 81 games, Tatis Jr. is slashing .277/.351/.463, 14 HR, 36 RBI, and an .814 OPS.

The Padres are in a great position to make the playoffs. As things stand right now, the Padres have the first wild card spot. Behind them is the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Atlanta Braves. Then just right behind the Braves are the Mets.

Fernando Tatis Jr. is a great addition for the Padres. He will make their lineup a lot better. Tatis Jr. adds power, speed, contact, and etc. The season is coming down to it’s last few weeks and the Padres are in a good spot.
