Padres Superstar Undergoes Elbow Surgery

The 2023 season has been officially over for the San Diego Padres and they will now look forward to 2024. The Players have the same outlook. Manny Machado wasted no time in getting ready for 2024. He underwent surgery to repair the extensor tendon in his right elbow yesterday in Los Angeles, the Padres announced. His estimated timeline is 4-6 months.

Machado has been the face of the franchise since signing his mega contract back in 2019. He's embraced the San Diego crowd and culture. 2023 was a bit of a down year for the star third baseman, slashing .258/.319/.462 with 30 home runs and 91 RBI.

The Padres 2023 was nothing short of a disappointment. Machado and co. had their bar set extremely high from the very beginning. With changes likely coming, Machado will be the one mainstay as he rehabs and gets ready for his 2024.
