Pete Alonso is Headed the IL

Pete Alonso Via New York Post

On Friday, June 9th the New York Mets announced that star first baseman Pete Alonso will be placed on the 10 day-IL. Due to a left wrist bone bruise and sprain. Pete Alonso is expected to miss 3-4 weeks, taking it into July.

This is obviously a huge loss to the Mets lineup as Pete Alonso was putting up good numbers, and he's arguably the Mets best player.

Pete Alonso was on pace for a 60 HR season. In 62 games for Alonso, he was batting .231, he's hit 22 HR (MLB lead), he has 49 RBI's, and a .872 OPS.

The Mets will need a lot of guys to step up during the time that Pete Alonso will miss. They will need all the production they can get out of anyone as this will certainly be a huge loss to the Mets.
