Philadelphia Phillies All-Star Will Not be Traded

A report came out on Thursday that the Phillies are open to the idea of trading 2023 All-Star OF, Nick Castellanos. This was surprising to many people around baseball. Nick Castellanos was a key part to the Phillies success last year.

Fast forward to Friday afternoon. Another report came out that the Phillies have no interest in trading Nick Castellanos. In that report, it said that the Phillies consider Castellanos as an important part of the team.

Nick Castellanos put up good numbers throughout the 2023 season and he was an All-Star for a reason. Nick Castellanos started almost every game, as he started in 157 games. He slashed .272/.311/.476, with 29 HR's, 106 RBI's, and a .787 OPS. Nick Castellanos also improved his defense a lot.

Now that the Phillies and everyone else knows that they won't be trading Nick Castellanos, the Phillies will be able to focus on other stuff. It's expected Nick Castellanos to have another season like he did last year, and hopefully for the Phillies he's even better in 2024.
