Phillies Officially Unveil Their City Connect Jerseys

The Philadelphia Phillies have officially released their City Connect uniforms. The them is "Unapologetically Philadelphia, this is an ode to the city's past, present and future." Many people have mixed feelings about these City Connect uniforms, although that's how a lot of the uniforms are with all teams.


Here are all the details for the Phillies City Connect jersey:


  • The jersey's chest plate font is inspired by text found on historical documents in the city.


  • The Liberty Bell is depicted on the cap, with a skyline silhouette on the inside and two stars on the outside, representing the stars in the traditional Phillies logotype.


  • The sleeve patch features “City of Brotherly Love” with the Liberty Bell integrated within the word “Love.”


The Philadelphia Phillies will will wear these City Connect uniforms every Friday night at Citizens Bank Park. Here are all the dates:


April 12 vs. Pirates / 6:40 PM

April 19 vs. White Sox / 6:40 PM

May 3 vs. Giants / 6:40 PM

May 17 vs. Nationals / 6:40 PM

May 31 vs. Cardinals / 6:40 PM

The Phillies City Connect uniform really represents the city of Philadelphia pretty good. Now that they've been revealed and some players have worn them, a lot of people have changed their mind on their opinion of how they look. It's going to be even more interesting to see how they look when all the Phillies players are wearing them in a game on April 12th.
