The Pittsburgh Pirates are calling up right-handed pitcher Paul Skenes to the MLB. Everyone has been waiting all year for this news, and it’s finally here. Paul Skenes will make his major league debut against the Chicago Cubs on Friday in Pittsburgh. It’s pretty awesome that Skenes MLB debut will be at his home ballpark.
Many people in the baseball world has been waiting for this moment. Even non Pirates fans. Rightfully so, Paul Skenes is a great pitcher with a ton of potential to be really good at the MLB level.
A few weeks ago the latest prospect list came out. Paul Skenes found himself as the third best prospect in all of baseball. In the Pirates farm system, Skenes found himself as the No. 1 prospect. That says a lot because the Pirates have a very strong farm system.
